Where are the Cinque Terre and Deiva Marina

Liguria, with its characteristic rainbow form, was developed mainly on the sea, is located in the northern part of Italy and shares a boarder with Toscana, Emilia and Piemonte as well as an international border with France. The city of Genoa symbolically divides Liguria into two coasts: Levante and Ponente. Deiva Marina is located in the middle of the oriental coast between Portofino and the Cinque Terre, however the Cinque Terre end where the Golfo dei Poeti (Poets Gulf) and the city of La Spezia begin.

How to get there by highway

By and excellent highway that comes from France and crosses all of Liguria until arriving in Toscana. The highways coming from Turin, Milan and Parma converge into this highway. The downtown exit for Deiva Marina is at the 8 km mark. To arrive from the opposite direction, from Riomaggiore and Corniglia, the La Spezia exist is suggested.

How to arrive by a regular route

Very panoramic and charming, although a much longer route to arrive on the Levante Coast and the Cinque Terre, is by the normal road. The Via Aurelia, coming from Rome, crosses Liguria from end to end until arriving in France. To arrive from Riomaggiore, Manarola and Corniglia, it is better to exit Aurelia in La Spezia and continue on other routes following the indications for Portovenere, Riomaggiore, Cinque Terre. Close to the Bracco passage is a local road of 12km that leads to Deiva Marina. Particularly interesting, especially for anyone traveling by motorcycle or by bicycle, are the Apeninos, Giovi, Scoffera, Tomarlo, Passo del Bocco, Cento Croci, Rastello, Cisa and Cerreto passages.

How to arrive by train

The train also crosses the entire coast and has stations in all of the cities and the small villages. The Deiva Marina station is 200 meters from the apartments.

How to arrive at Riviera by airplane

An airplane is definitively the fastest way to arrive from long distances. The closest airports are in Genoa, 70 km away and Pisa, 100 km away. It is possible to continue on by means of public transportation, rental car or a van from the Hotel Clelia Logis that should be reserved in advance. From the Genoa airport, taking the "Volabus" you will arrive at the railway stations Principe or Brignole, while from the Pisa airport, you can arrive from the Pisa Centrale railway station by train or by bus.

Arriving by boat or ferry-boat

In Genoa, there are ships that transport cars and passengers from Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Tunisia, Spain and Morocco.

Cinque Terre

By train: the easiest way!
The Cinque Terre territory is characterized by high hills overlooking the sea, for that reason streets are narrow, steep and with lots of curves. There are limited places to park cars and the centre of the town centres are closed to private traffic.
For all these reasons train is best option to reach Cinque Terre.

Deiva Marina

By car: highway A 12 Genova- Levorno, exit in Deiva Marina. The town centre is situated 8 km away.
A longer but very panoramic road is Via Aurelia, through Passo del Bracco.
If you use the highway exit of Sestri Levante, the former railway tunnel Riva Trigoso, Moneglia Deiva Marina route offers a fast and ... unforgettable alternative. Alternating one-way street, regulated by traffic lights: arriving from Sestri Levante, green light at minutes '15 - 35 '- 55'. From Deiva Marina, green light at minutes 00 '- 20' - 40 '.

By train, on Genoa - La Spezia railway line. Train station 300 meters from the town centre. Trains to and from Cinque Terre every hour.

By plane, low-cost flights to Pisa and Genoa and then train or car rental to Deiva Marina. Clelia Apartments’ pick up service also possibile.
